You may or may not know, but alongside the likes of After Effects and Cinema 4d, Photoshop is also a pretty amazing platform for creating animation. Through using a timeline panel you can put together some good 'ol fashioned keyframe animations one frame at a time. This allows you to give so much control over what you create and is great for thinks like fluid effects or achieving a handdrawn style.
Here's a fantastic Animation Series by the guys over at School of Motion that should help get you up and running in Photoshop animation. I personally have sat through the complete series and have got to say its super helpful!
